Gerald King is a distinguished and influential figure in Murfreesboro, TN, widely recognized for his notable contributions to basketball and his unwavering commitment to the community. A standout athlete throughout his career, King began his basketball journey at Oakland High School, where his impressive skills on the court earned him a spot in the prestigious Oakland High School Basketball Hall of Fame.

His success at the high school level was just the beginning, as King went on to play collegiate basketball, further honing his talents and solidifying his reputation as a promising player.King’s ambition extended beyond college basketball, leading him to the NBA Development League, where he had a brief yet impactful stint. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury prematurely cut short his professional playing career. Despite this setback, King’s passion for the sport and his desire to give back to the game remained unwavering.

 

Instead of stepping away from basketball, he transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of head coach for a semi-professional basketball team. In this position, he worked tirelessly to develop players, not just in their athletic abilities, but also as individuals, mentoring them and helping them achieve their goals.

Under his guidance, many student-athletes were able to secure valuable college scholarships, further propelling their academic and athletic careers.Beyond his achievements as a player and coach, King is deeply dedicated to his community and plays an active role in shaping the lives of young athletes. As the founder of Kings All Stars Organization, King has made a profound impact in Georgia, where he runs basketball camps for youth, aspiring athletes, and professional players alike. His camps not only focus on developing basketball skills but also on promoting personal growth, leadership, and teamwork.
